Hello, all,
Seems to be a good day to Blog... All is well here in the southwestern portion of the fine state of Wyoming. I have managed to hold my job at the radio station for three months and have bought a new motor vehicle.... Everyone sitting... and it is in fact a new motor vehicle, actually made in this century (a 2003) Ford Ranger. Amazingly, when I turn the key in the morning it starts!!!!
We are taking our show to Helena next week! We are the Thursday show and are starting to get nervous. We are currently in the middle of a two weekend run of the Mousetrap, so everyone is a bit burnt. They did not believe me when I told them how much work RMTA will be. We have raised over $3,000 for the trip through various fund raisers. One featured Susan Gibson, a Texas singer songwriter who wrote the Dixie Chicks' Wide Open Spaces. Anyone in the Montana Area, come to Festivention at Grandstreet, looks to be a good one. I am teaching two workshops. Ben, hitch a ride with Mace and his bunch, I'd love to see you. The last time I was in Helena, Davey Wade was born. However this is unnerving as a woman in our show is quite pregnant. Hope all is well, and as I say hourly here at work... "It's 49 degrees here at KOWB.".............Bliss
Rik has inspired me to post an update instead of just a picture (no that isn't my dog it's me). We moved from Taylorsville to Orem about 3 years ago so Liz could be closer to UVSC where she teaches and Novell where I'm going on 6 years. Carter turned five earlier this month and Madelyn was born on the 4th of July last summer. She was due on August 1st which my first day of residency for the Executive MBA at BYU. Suffice it to say her early arrival made things a little easier in that regard and she'll get fireworks every year for her birthday.

I was in The Scarlet Pimpernel in Salt Lake in 2002 and 2004 but I've had to abstain from the stage because of the time commitment involved. I did however get the chance to be an Israelite Soldier in the Liken the Scriptures DVD of David and Goliath with Thurl Baily. A couple weeks ago I was one of the Kings Gaurds in the Story of Esther (March 6 release date on dvd) Movies require a lot less time and I feel like I'm still involved. Carrie Steven's youngest son was in the movie as well. The last time I saw him I was Freddy in My Fair Lady and he was about 5. Carrie came by the set and we caught up for a minute, I've kept in touch with her off and on over the years and she has her own acting school in Ogden now. She Mrs Pierce in My Fair Lady and Buddy's mom in The Diviners and Barbara Allen's mom in Dark of the Moon. Those are the shows I had in common with her anyway.

I miss Western and the old gang. I can't believe I've been here this long and haven't talked to Rik. The last time I saw him was when I helped him move down for school.

Here's my number if anyone wants to get in touch 801-319-5986

Trish, Rik and Davey Wade Update:
this year, Trish finally got her BS and started teaching high school Biology and Math. She enjoys it a lot of the time, but her math kids are the “children about to be left behind” variety so that can be a bit frustrating. She still wants to work with animals, so she also works a couple of nights a week as a Vet Tech in one of 2 all-night vet clinics in the city. On a bizarre side note, one of their clients is Gary Coleman, who has 4 cats, all named after his girlfriend. Whachoo talkin’ ‘bout, Trish?!
Rik is still waiting to find out if he got into law school and working as the “ok, I’ll do that, too…” guy at a software company. He and Kirby Wilson (Kirby Chavez when he was a music major at Western) still play in a band together and have their first gig with their new (5th) drummer in a couple of weeks, sharing the bill with Phillip Dysart’s (Tommy drummer) band. They still don’t have the album they recorded at Electric Ladyland 2 years ago.
Davey is 7 and a brown belt in Karate. He’s in the first grade and a law-abiding citizen. He’s got a bright red ¾ size flying V guitar he likes to make up songs on.
As for all of us, we’re getting set to go to California next month for Jay Sheely’s (guitar/mandolin player for a lot of shows) wedding, where Rik will be best man; we’re still on the waitintg list to adopt, having hit the average length of wait about 6 months ago (we’re the only family on the list that already has a kid, which has worked against us); and we see a lot of WWCC alum who live here, like Jen Rouse, Jay Sheely, Kirby Wilson, Jesse Mills (Godspell drummer), Cory Bury, Joe Merrit (Tommy guitar player), Amy Pernich (Tommy keys), Phillip Dysart, August Witzgall, yada yada. Seriously, if you want to see old friends, come to Salt Lake. There’s a mob of them here, and we have a great guest room. 801-523-3864.

Happy New Year Everyone!

James and I had a wonderful holiday at home in CT,
filled with couch potatoing and fireplace time!
This year's Christmas tree twinkle light sculpture
turned out better than any other year.
Go to my homepage to view the movie or slideshow.
Here is one photo as a sneak peak!
