Konnichiwa, y'all...
Zach Schrotter in Dallas again. Well, it's official, I's hitched--a wonderful woman has made me an honest man...and no, her father didn't walk her down the aisle accompanied by smith & wesson. I'll post pictures when we have all the discs n' albums back. Till then she's a poetry widow...meaning that it's that time again for the National Poetry Slam--I'm part of a rookie team this year--the venue I co-host for is sending a team to NPS in Austin 2nd week in August, and we've got some very tough competition this time around, but I've got strong teammates and our work speaks for itself. Hell, I'm even leading vocal warmups before rehearsals now...given my singing ability (or lack thereof), it says a lot for the training I came from. It still rings true--what Billy and Colleen used to say a long time ago--"Respect the art in yourself--not yourself in the art." I'm still growing in this art form, and it's kinda cool seeing what I take from my past and my contemporaries and how much it all still applies to what I do now. Billy, I hope your show came off well, and I wish the rest of you nothing but success in whatever path you're following these days. As always, drop me a line at the e-mail addy: zschrotter@verizon.net. Peace n' love, y'all...

Hey Bliss. Nice to hear from you. You should rent the Tom Hanks movie about buying a house.
Boy, you are really growing up. . . . a house . . . . do I hear the pitter patter of little feet. . . . . no I think a squirrel got in the attic. Anyway, a picture of my most recent show, SMILE, from this summer is below.
Greetings Earth creatures. You know in Wyoming "postin'" is what you do when you put up a fence. Hope all is well. Our radio station has been going through remoldling so I haven't been able to blog. Things in the mountains are going well. I am trying to buy a house, the most adult thing I have done since playing Dysart in Equus. A bit scary, but I cannot wait to tear apart something without worrying about my deposit. I have also joined thee 21st Century on the evil MySpace. Check it out if you get a chance, I've been able to get in touch with some long lost acquaintances, including Meteetsee's favorite daughter (adopted) Mara McEwin. Back to the grind, hope to post some photos of our last show soon. And, may the forces of evil become confused on the way to your house............Bliss

Hi Dan!!! Congrats on the job! Yeah, it's getting lonely in the blog. Everyone is staying busy. We are two weeks into our 4 week run with SMILE right now. Things should slow down in August and we can do some more posting . . . or postin' as we say in Texas. Whew! the speech is really sufferin'. Billy

Hi everybody. So, I feel like I just posted but oh well. I got a job! I'm the new faculty technical director at Kansas State. It's a one year contract and if it works out I'll have the chance to stay on in a tenure track position. Where is everyone? The blog seems so lonely. I hope to see you all soon.
