Konnichiwa, y'all...

Zach Schrotter in Dallas again. Well, it's official, I's hitched--a wonderful woman has made me an honest man...and no, her father didn't walk her down the aisle accompanied by smith & wesson. I'll post pictures when we have all the discs n' albums back. Till then she's a poetry widow...meaning that it's that time again for the National Poetry Slam--I'm part of a rookie team this year--the venue I co-host for is sending a team to NPS in Austin 2nd week in August, and we've got some very tough competition this time around, but I've got strong teammates and our work speaks for itself. Hell, I'm even leading vocal warmups before rehearsals now...given my singing ability (or lack thereof), it says a lot for the training I came from. It still rings true--what Billy and Colleen used to say a long time ago--"Respect the art in yourself--not yourself in the art." I'm still growing in this art form, and it's kinda cool seeing what I take from my past and my contemporaries and how much it all still applies to what I do now. Billy, I hope your show came off well, and I wish the rest of you nothing but success in whatever path you're following these days. As always, drop me a line at the e-mail addy: zschrotter@verizon.net. Peace n' love, y'all...

haiku--
some say the glass is
half empty, half full. I say;
"Who done drank my beer?"
