Hey, everyone! It's Michelle again... just thought I'd add in a few more things that I am doing with my life and my future. Aside from the fact that wedding plans take up a lot of my time, I thought Colleen would be interested to know that I am majoring in Dance Education now at BYU, with a minor in Theatre Arts Education. I've been taking a lot of Ballroom dance classes, and have been told (and am very interested) to try out for the BYU Ballroom dance team. I am working right now as a part-time Spanish teacher, but don't suspect that my future holds a whole lot of spanish classes. (Though my new apartment has a lot of native spanish speakers)
anyway, luv ya'll! take care! PS. Thanks, Colleen for the portfolio class. Its making things a lot easier to get into the Theatre Arts Minor.
luv, me-chelle

Hi Bliss. I just got back from two sets of auditions, Northeast Texas Auditions and Texas Thespians. It is amazing how many super talented people there are in this world! I saw about 300 auditions in 3 days. I'm glad that you are managing to keep your theatre alive. I hope it grows into a workable situation, i.e. - less extension cords and more SO cable. Nate just flew back to Rock Springs for a visit. He will be there all of Thanksgiving week. I just found a new portable dimmer/control board that has 6 10 amp channels, powered by 2 20 amp circuits that has a built in control board for $550. I was amazed. I used to have to pay that much just for the control board. Of course this one is a single scene board with a grand master, but that is all you need for so few channels. It is made by Dove Systems and called the "Scene Master 1", just in case you are interested. I had a welder cut the two ends out of a propane tank for tree bases and used the good old 1 1/2" black pipe for trees. I'm ready to tour!!!!! Hi to everybody out there, don't make yourselves so scarce. Remember the rule, "if you check the blog for reading - you are o - blog - gated to make a post." Also if ya'll are in communication with other wwc alums that don't know about the blog you are o - blog - gated to tell them how to access it.
Hope to hear from more of you! Much Oblogged! Billy.

Hello, all...... Ex-Tech. Directors Unite! Bliss here, glad to see everyone is still doing well. I tried to get out to Rock Springs to see Kelsey's show but Robber Bridegroom ate me alive. The show was great, we closed on Sun., and a big success. For me it was a big step and a lot of work. I ended up directing, designing (set/lights/costumes), building, painting the show as well as playing guitar, some chorus parts and Big Harp. Also I managed to talk Joe Baker back onto the front of the stage as the guitar 1 player. Here's one for the story books: On opening night some guy from Idaho Falls traveling through town stopped into the Trading Post (where our theatre is located) for dinner. The owner informed him that we only had dinner theatre tickets and no "regular" dinner, he and his associated said that would be fine and came in for the show. And this is where low-tech pays off, at intermission he wrote us a check for $1,000, saying he saw all of the extension cords and figured we needed some help. He plans to come see our next show in June. Furthermore, on closing night a local, not to be out done by an out of towner, wrote us a check for $2,500. After a long hard rehearsal schedule it made our future look bright again.
Sorry to blow my own horn, but we are all very excited up here to be recognized for our hard work. Hope everyone else is seeing their dreams come true. With love and respect to all....Bliss

Hi All. Billy here. Glad to see some hard core bloggers are still around. I just came back from the SWTA auditions. Whew! Now I have two more next week, Plano, Texas and Wichita Falls.
These people really like to audition down here. Dan, it's dan good to here from you. I will send you an email if I can find your email address. It sure is nice to have Nate down here. He is a hellava guy. I am working on getting an artist in residence position added to the staff down here as a regular, rotating thing. The position would assistant teach acting and stage makeup, perform, and cover me on rehearsals (some music) when I'm out of town. It will be a great opportunity to get some resume teaching experience. We are also trying to add a part-time dance teacher. It's just all happening so fast! Oh My! Keep on Blogging! Billy

Greetings from Dan in Ohio. Just thought I'd put some blog back into my life. Nothing too interesting here. I'm still doing the grad school thing at Ohio State. I've had my first overlapping show experience. While we were still in techs for a show I did the lighting for my preliminary set drawings for a show next quarter were due. That was not a fun experience but who said grad school was supposed to be fun. Don't let me scare you Kelsey, I think it's a great idea and you should think seriously about it. You won't find a better way to immerse yourself in theatre and see what you are made of. Hey Billy, I'm looking for a job for next summer. Any openings in Cisco for a carpenter/electrician/performer. I would love to do some grunt work. Dealing with students is fine but you have to be on your toes all the time. Hey Nate, Gwar is playing here in Columbus this week. Your encore mantra would actually make sense. (sorry to all of you who didn't get that one, inside jokes don't do well on the blogger I guess) Anyway, I have to go be a student for a bit (aka, I'm going to the bar with some friends) Take it easy everyone.
