Hi Lisa. The first 4 weekends in July. See at: http://www.cjctheatre.com/bcdt.htm
Thanks. Billy
Thanks. Billy
Billy, I'm starting to try to plan my summer travel, do you have a ballpark idea of the dates of this summer's show run? same or similar to last season? James and I might end up road tripping down so if anybody in between NYC/CT and Texas that wants to hitcha ride with us, email me.

Hey everyone! Just posting in response to a post Lisa made a while ago about Spamalot. I went to saw it today and I had a great time. It is in essence a musical, updated, stage version of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Most of the favorite bits from the movie are in the show, as well as some new stuff- especially new stuff related to the songs. Naturally, they managed to work in "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life". Some of the other songs were "I'm not dead yet", "The song that goes like this", and "You can't succeed on Broadway (without a Jew)" among others. Tons of humorous references to other musicals and poking fun of the show itself. They also managed to work in that magic ingredient of audience participation by bring someone from the audience on stage and taking a polaroid with them (just like we did last summer!) and after the bows the whole cast and audience sang "the bright side of life".
If any of you come to the city, I highly recommend this show!

Hi everyone,
Glad to see the pictures and hear about all of the excitement going on in everyone's life. As for me, my family is moving back to Utah at the end of the month. I will miss the DC area, but it is all good. Your new musical sounds really funny Billy.

Lookin' good Bliss. Such a great show.
Well, despite being in law school, I'm finally getting to something theatre-ish. Most law schools have a parody show/Saturday Night Live skit show every year that lampoons law school. I decided to try and participate in this year's show. I wrote a little parody song from "The Doctor is in" from You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. I figured since I wrote it I would get to perform it and that would give me at least one thing to do in the show and a litte extra something fun on the side. We've started rehearsals and suddenly I've picked up some other parts. In fact, while I'm not the most polished singer in the world, I appear quite talented in comparison to some of my law school compadres and so they gave me the main part in the big finale song which is "I wanna be an Attorney" set to "I wanna be a Producer". It seems like it's gonna be fun. We get to perform two nights the first week in April so it's a good diversion for the next few weeks. In addition, I also get to do a little theatre networking-- our musical director has been working in the city for 25 years now. He's been the musical director for Forbidden Broadway and a bunch of other stuff. I was talking with him after the rehearsal and he has gotten to work with all the big theatre names like Bernadette and Nathan Lane and on and on.
Another cool thing is that the musical on Broadway right now, "Avenue Q" was written by a guy who went to my law school and made his connections through the same little show I'm doing. Here's hoping!!!
Hope you all are doing well.

Trying this fancy-schmancy picture thing again. Hopefully it will work better than last time. For Billy and Colleen, the guy with the guitar and cowboy hat on the edge of the light...Joe Baker... Hope all is well with all...Bliss

Howdy from Dallas, Zach here, yet again. Bliss, glad to see you're still live n' kickin', and hope things are well for you, and wish the same for the rest of our lil' alumni family. Just wanted to pass on that as of last night, I've qualified to compete for a spot on the 2005 Dallas Slam Poetry team, which is a huge deal for me. Our "slam-off" will be in Dallas in May, and if anyone's in the area, to come out and see some amazing poets battle head to head. If I make the squad, I'll get to perform at the national competition this August, which is being held in Albuquerque, so y'all please keep your fingers crossed for me. I'm also involved in getting 2 other poetry venues up and running in the Metroplex, working on a spoken word CD, and starting on wedding plans which we're tentatively looking at having in April of 2006. Love to y'all, and feel free to drop me a line at the new e-mail address: zschrotter@verizon.net.

Nice, Bliss. I will be impressed if during the burp you said the "Billy Williams" phrase. You ought to come down here and see us when you get a break. March 15 through April 15 is some incredible fishing. Billy
