Hey everyone! Just posting in response to a post Lisa made a while ago about Spamalot. I went to saw it today and I had a great time. It is in essence a musical, updated, stage version of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Most of the favorite bits from the movie are in the show, as well as some new stuff- especially new stuff related to the songs. Naturally, they managed to work in "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life". Some of the other songs were "I'm not dead yet", "The song that goes like this", and "You can't succeed on Broadway (without a Jew)" among others. Tons of humorous references to other musicals and poking fun of the show itself. They also managed to work in that magic ingredient of audience participation by bring someone from the audience on stage and taking a polaroid with them (just like we did last summer!) and after the bows the whole cast and audience sang "the bright side of life".

If any of you come to the city, I highly recommend this show!
